About Me

Hello there, I’m Jen! I’m a KZN-based artist in our beautiful country, South Africa. I’m drawn to cheerful shades, bright spaces and all the little things that feel joyful and fresh. Colour lights me up, tea keeps me company, and I’m happiest in spaces where creativity can flow. I studied photography for a year before completing a three-year Fashion and Textile degree. I got married to the most incredible human in 2010, and together we have two precious boys who are a huge driving force behind all that I do. I love that my flexible days allow me to walk closely through life with them. I love working with mixed media, mostly acrylics, splashes of watercolour, and little details and sketches created with pigment pens. I’m fascinated by the vibrancy, texture and layering that can happen when different mediums come together — and honestly, it’s just so much fun! I’m especially drawn to whimsical animals in all their quirky glory, happy florals, dreamy abstracts and beautiful scenic views.
